The Broader Context: What Else Is Out There?

To understand why we focus exclusively on Bitcoin, it helps to know what else exists in this space.

"Crypto" is an umbrella term covering thousands of very different projects:

  1. Projects with unlimited or adjustable issuance — unlike Bitcoin's fixed 21 million cap, which no entity can change.
  2. Projects run by a central team or company — development and control sit with a specific party, unlike Bitcoin's fully distributed network.
  3. Tokens tied to a specific platform or application — their value depends on one project's success; they aren't independent money.

This diversity isn't inherently good or bad — it just means "crypto" isn't one uniform thing.

We focus on Bitcoin because, in our view, it represents the most mature, decentralized, and rule-stable model available. But understanding this broader context means your own decisions are informed — not made in the dark.
